DIAR.com has its origins in traditional paper-based publishing, beginning in 1982 as a fortnightly newsletter called the Defence Industry and Aerospace Report (DIAR).

The publication was continually upgraded, and in 1997, was re-launched as the Australian Defence Business Review (ADBR) with a focus on in-depth, highly researched articles.

The press release reporting element of the old DIAR evolved into the DIAR.com Internet-based Newscentre - now known as www.diar.com and the weekly DIAR.com e-Newsletter - opening up the exciting new world of mulitmedia and e-commerce.
